Updating training contracts to the latest qualification

If you are an apprentice in SA, you have a training contract written up when you are first signed up. Sometimes this can happen right before a training package – and the qualifications, are updated. If you are a current apprentice and you were signed up under the old BCG training package, you can update your qualification to the latest CPC package by requesting a variation to your contract. The form for this can be found at this site: http://skills.sa.gov.au/forms-and-publications/apprenticeships-traineeships. While holding a qualification in the old training package is unlikely to cause any issues, some people may prefer to hold the latest qualification when they complete their apprenticeship.
